@ninja8135. There's a lot to unpack here and ultimately we can't really say exactly what it means. What we do know is that you've been scammed. Everyone telling you the game is great are truthful and correct, in my opinion. However, since March or April of 2021 the game has been a target for recurring DDoS attacks and the multiplayer aspect has been unplayable for the most part since. EA knows this and still sell the game in this current state on every available platform, even though the game promises multiplayer functionality. Respawn made a statement about the attacks and to commit a team of whopping 1-2 technicians to fix it. So far, nothing conclusive has happened and Respawn refuse further statements. EA, on the other hand, has a few different ways of responding: 1) flat out denial that there's an issue, 2) claiming it's a client side issue, 3) telling those with issues to come here - as if this forum and its moderators could possibly fix it, 4) giving the same standard troubleshooting suggestions you always get (reinstall, check firewalls, etc), 5) probably a few more I've forgotten. They don't either respond to inquiries on this from their EAHelp account on Twitter and offer no official statements. Before December of 2021 we got a 'ReadPacketsEntities' error code and from then on a '429' error code became frequent. This might mean a technician (or a malicious external agent) is tampering with the code, but since noone offers any statements, we're left to guessing. Noone knows how long this is going to continue. If you use a PC, you could Google the Northstar mod and you may be able to try out certain parts of the multiplayer experience, but if you're on console, you're effed for now. If you can, demand a refund.
Tl;dr: The game is currently broken and you've been had. Demand your money back.
