Audio Crackling/Breaking makes game unplayable

Hello, I'm playing the Titanfall 2 campaign for the first time on Orgin, but I'm having extreme frame rate and audio problems.  Lowering the graphical quality doesn't change these issues at all, but at certain points the FPS is flawless and audio issues minimal.  It seems to get to an insane degree when there are lots of loud sounds in-game.  Even after quiting the game to the menu during these sections, the audio continues to be horribly broken in the main menu.

I've tried many solutions found online.  Changing the sample rate/bit depth of my speakers, changing all of the in-game options, disabling in-game Orgin functionality, etc.

None of these have helped me so far.  I've noticed that sometimes minimizing the window and pulling it back up temporarily improves performance, but I have no idea why.

I've also seen people say that this is caused by CPU issues, but looking at task manager while the game is running shows that my CPU usage is fine, and no other apps are running.  (Google Chrone, Discord, etc.)

Any help is greatly appreciated!
