I just got the Your "fairfight category is incompatible with this gameserver" after AFKing at the end of a game, (guessing it started auto searching) and when I came back I was greeted with that message, I clicked the multiplayer tab and I got the same message again, tried multiplayer once more and I could join matches and customize my pilot like nothing had even happened. Is this just a one off bug or am I playing in a cheaters server or something, bit concerned to be honest.

Received this, this morning around 8:15am Pacific Time. I've never installed any kind of hack on my machine ever. Is this because I'm using in-game overlay comp stats for my CPU/GPU/FPS? I really don't want to be placed in the same gamespace as people who hack. Who put the 'fair' in fairfight?

This is happening to me all of a sudden too after I had a couple of really good wins in a row ... I just got a new mouse that seems to lag less and fit my hand a lot better (my old mouse made my hand kinda cramp up .. ) so maybe my sudden change in aiming ...? Like what the heck is going on here. I have the grenade, titan utlity and melee button mapped to my mouse so maybe that could be it? It thinks I'm cheating for using mouse buttons that EVERY gamer now uses?

Got melee bound to a mouse-button as well.If this is indeed what's causing the error I worry..

@KingQuack Hey, thanks for the post. I'll need to remove the link to the video as it counts as naming and shaming, which breaks our rules. Not that you did anything egregious in this case, but not all videos are as, uh, unambiguous as this and we have a hard cut-off on hack accusation videos. The weird error at the end, did it re-occur at any point later or was it a once-off? Thanks again for the post and evidence.

Me too. No idea why either. I don't hack. I don't cheat. I don't understand why. Am now able to play though but still....

Just got this issue, with no nvidia update or anything else running.

I had the same error but i found that if i closed NZXT CAM or FRAPS ifi have it running while im trying to join multiplayer it would give me the fairfight error but when i took them off and joined multiplayer , i was able to join successfully. even after that i re opened my NZXT CAM and it didnt bring me back to the main menu. Maybe this will be helpful to someone.

same thing just happened to me a few minutes ago i was doing okay but always top 3 on my teams with double XP running (yay co workers saving codes for me) and i got kicked at the last minute of a match with the connection rejected error. i hope im not banned or put with cheaters im finally raising my K/D from a measly .4 to .8 lol it sucks cause im finally getting a hand of the game after a huge learning curve

I just received this error as well.

Got it while Alt-Tabed into my web browser while I was waiting for a match.

Last match I played, I connected mid-match and didn't preform all that great.

So i just started up titanfall 2 and while i was searching for bounty hunt matches i got a message saying error fairfight compatibality is not acceptable or something like that. i tried to start again but it wont work

Yup just got the connection error after a game was in the evacuation stage, have been in the top 3 my last 4 games and around 2.0 kd through out the games.

Hey I just got that FairFight error. What is it?

I've been playing several hours but this is the first time I got it.

This is also the first time I played while I'm behind a VPN. So could it be that the VPN is the problem?

I'm using NordVPN and all my workstation traffic goes through it.

So what's going on?

I have the exact same issue. Just after a match ended this message appeared.

I have never cheated in a game ever.... :-(
