Different levels of brightness in windowed mode vs. fullscreen

Update: Seems to have something to do with gamma level. One theory would be, that the game uses a color profile with a gamma level much lower than desktop. However, why then does the OSD of MSI Afterburner have wrong colors, both in windowed mode and in fullscreen mode? The colors (taken from a color picking tool) have other RGB values than they should have (and have in other games). This is a very confusing problem. See screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/Sn8OC
