ERROR 401 BYTEVAULT_AUTHENTICATION_REQUIRED

Spoke again with chat support yesterday.  They said they "removed and then re-added the game" and that I should re-install it.   I tried it again this morning and had the same issue. I repaired the game since I didn't want to install with all three disks again and then it started working. 

same error to. thou i was reassured my account had not or has not been banned in anyway. currently looking into it.

And I just contacted EA...  Read all posts till the end before doing anything....
Let's hope the will resolve it quick

this worked:

Please open the Origin client.
Then select "Application Settings" from the menu bar on top.
Then scroll down on the "General Tab".
Under "Origin Beta Participation", check the box for "Update to the beta version if available"if its unchecked, and if its already unchecked it, please keep it checked.
Once this is done, logout from origin.
Please install origin client now using this link: http://www.dm.origin.com/download
Once you will start installing origin again on your computer, it may show this message to you: “Found origin already installed, Do you want to overwrite data”. Please click on Yes, and complete origin install.
After all above steps, re-login into origin again and check your game then.
