I have been experiencing similar issue. Just started happening yesterday. Playing on same local network with son, each with an xbox, and the same game. He is on wired connection, and I am using wireless connection to the same wireless access point. Both us us are using xbox live gold accounts, and playing Titanfall 2 together on the same maps. This has been working without any major issues, except occasionally one of us gets kicked from our private group.
So, yesterday, playing multiplayer Titalfall 2 online on my xbox one s console, which is about 4 months old, with 50% storage capacity used, and has had no issues, while connecting over wireless, Titanfall 2 after a few matches the sound ( audio ) starts getting choppy, and it sounds terrible, then the game begins getting more and more laggy, until finally, the game will completely freeze up. The xbox one s console will eventually lock up, and a soft power down is impossible, but it will still shutdown using the power button. This happened 3 times, and the 3rd time, I tried unplugging the xbox one s console to clean up the RAM, and every time I go back into Titanfall 2 multiplayer the game will eventually freeze after the audio becomes distorted and choppy, with the console eventually becoming totally unresponsive.
Yesterday there was a new update for Titanfall 2 that I had to install, and I wonder if this is causing the issue. I play from an online install, not from a disc. I did play other games yesterday on the xbox one s console without any issue of the audio becoming choppy or distorted, or the console becoming unresponsive. I really wonder if this last Titanfall 2 update is causing a memory leak.
My son continues to play off of a disc install on the older xbox one downstairs of Titanfall 2 in multiplayer, and has had no audio freezes, or lockups since he installed the same Titanfall 2 update yesterday. This update included Monarch Titan.
The same thing happened again today while trying to play Titanfall 2 in multiplayer public match, the game audio became choppy, then eventually it froze up, and then xbox one s console had to be shut off. This did not happen when i was playing in private match with my son today, so maybe it's something specific to the public matches within Titanfall 2 that is causing some sort of a memory leak.
