Getting stuck at the "Ship" loading screen [XBOX ONE - Optus Australia]

Hey there,
I've been trying to play Titanfall for literally the past 8+ hours trying to connect and I cannot get past this Ship loading screen.

Things I've tried:
- Xbox reset

- Router & Modem reset

- Uninstall/Reinstall

- Several Servers

I'm with Optus in Australia. I can't even connect to the Beta Australia server whereas I have several friends able to play. I either have to close the game and try again or I leave it for 15 - 20 minutes and get a message saying "Connection to server Timed out". Is this a problem on my end or is it a problem with my Internet provider connecting to your servers? Any help would be much appreciated as this game was high on my anticipated games of the year. Thanks

It's not the game, this is typical of what you should come to experience from Optus. I've had a number of different issues with there service over the years, don't expect to get what you pay for. Finally decided to switch to Telstra, best decision ever! I haven't had a single issue its been running flawlessly, Optus is such a waste of time and money.

THIS IS NOT OPTUS'S FAULT, I can run any other game fine with no lag at all and at a very decent connection.

I ran this fine in the beta and didnt have this problem it seems strange that it has come from the actual release.

  • Yep, add me to the list of disgruntled aussie Xbox One gamers....

Have not managed to connect to Beta Australia servers at all (Optus Cable), wonder how widespread this issue is out of all aussies with Titanfall.

Wonder if PC and XB1 share the same servers? Regardless, this has been great disappointment as a highly anticipated game!

Just wished someone from EA/Respawn would officially respond and confirm it's server load issue or otherwise...

  • Same here. I've been having the same exact problem and I live in West Virginia, USA. They need to update and fix this problem since its happening to a lot of people.

Man I hate having swapped to Optus cable.

My son and I have absolutely no problems playing Titanfall on our XBox 1's together during the day, but come evening it is a no go.

No matter what we try is just wont connect.

Optus, what the hell are you doing. Restricting Port 80 on a timetable or what.

Also, Respawn why the hell did you use port 80 which if anything was going to be blocked by an ISP it would probably be this.

Bottom line is Optus sucks and I am waisting my $115 per month for cable+phone.

ArenaNet put in a fix for users by letting them open port 80 with this target command line "/clientport 80". DOTA 2 does the same thing with "+clientport 80". I hope Respawn implements a similar solution for PC users at least.
