Integrated Graphics Banding and Texture Issues

Hello,

So I just purchased Titanfall, thinking it would run fine on my computer, because according to the system requirements, it only needs 512mb of VRAM, and my graphics card has 1gb. Little did I know that there are massive banding and texture issues that come along with playing it on integrated graphics. Are these issues going to get fixed sometime in the near future? If not, what are players like myself who only have an integrated graphics card supposed to do with a minimally functioning game where you can barely see the map?

**Edit**

My computer's specs:

Late 2013 Macbook Pro Retina

2.8 Ghz Intel Core i7

256gb SSD

16gb RAM

Intel Iris 1024mb

  • The system requirements say: that it requires 512MB VRAM on either a Radeon HD 4770/GeForce 8800G or higher. In other words, Intel graphics cards are not supported and there's no guarentee that it run or run well if you use them.

It might help to update your drivers ( http://intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect ) but other than that I don't think there's much anyone can do.

Yeah I already tried updating my drivers. Well this is unfortunate. So I'm building a computer, might as well do an external GPU setup with my Mac and see if that works. Thanks!

Ohhh no, the one I'm building is a custom PC, my laptop is a Mac with Windows bootcamped onto it. The laptop is currently what I use to play games, and this is the first game, not to mention ea game, to have this issue. While I do now understand that it means any graphics card higher than that, I assumed it meant any graphics card with 512mb of VRAM or higher. May I recommend putting on the system requirements a note that says integrated Intel graphics cards do not work with this game? Unless it's going to be fixed, in which case I am going to be very happy.

Either way, It's still playable on my machine, it's just really hard to play haha. I'm going to try my external graphics card theory, and see if that works. In the meantime, thanks for making a great game! In no way do I regret purchsing it, even though it doesn't work well on my Mac at the moment.

  • Intel released a beta driver for intel's integrated HD series that supposedly has helped a few people with this issue.

    heres the link:

NOTE:: this driver is known to cause issues in some laptops in the form of black screens.. please be sure to make a system restore point BEFORE installing these drivers, just in case.
