Is it possible for me to install a digital copy of Titanfall from a friend's disc?

I live in the English countryside, and out here the internet ain't so great. Hence, I'm not exactly looking forward to the 50GB download I'm now faced with after buying a digital copy of the game through my Origin desktop app.

My friend, however, had to the good sense to buy a solid copy of the game and he has lent me the three discs included to see if we can avoid the download entirely and simply restore a backup/install from the discs. I've tried all I can think of, but that probably isn't much compared to what some of the people on here can do. If you could shed a little light on my situation, even if it's just "No, you can't.", it'd help me immensely.

TL;DR: Can I install a digital download version of the game from a solid copy which is for a used key?

Thanks a bunch, even if you can't help. 🙂

Yes as long as you bought the game on your account you can install it from your friends disc. Just put the disc in the tray and click the download button on titanfall in origin and it will install from the disc.

I did this a few times with my brothers BF4 discs cause i have the download version of it.

    Update:
First disc worked (:D), at about 50-60MB/S and go tme to around 11GB installed. Then had to pause it last night to, you know, sleep.
Now retried with all three discs and only getting about 0.8-1.5MB/S, but apparently that could be an audio extraction or something. Either way, it's faster than my standard internet but it's still going to take ten hours. You say put the disc in then resume the download? 'cause it ain't so great but I'll take it if there's nothing better.
I also understand that you might have absolutely no clue, which is totally cool too 🙂

    Thanks, still! :3

    Final Update:
IT WORKED! Did a complete clean reinstall of the thing and I got "Insert Disc" prompts. Worked in about half an hour and now it's installed! YAY! :D

Alas, Titanfall still requires an update before it can be launched, and now I'm getting "Download Error" because apparently the server isn't responding, but my initial problem is fixed! Thanks so much!
