Japanese language not supported for Hong Kong/Taiwan Region?

I tried every language English, French, Spanish, Italian, Korean and Traditional Chinese and there are working less Japanese its runs with the english text and voices.

Check the following location for files whose names start with  japaneseclient_mp_

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Titanfall\vpk

Here is one of the exact file names so you can search specifically for it:

japaneseclient_mp_airbase.bsp.pak000_dir.vpk

If those japaneseclient files, 17 of them,  are present you should be able to play in Japanese.

I have all 17 japaneseclient vpk, i unninstalled and installed again, i set the command -language Japanese and launches with english text and voice, the other languages are full working.

I just tried it myself, and from the start menu, everything is in Japanese.

What if you do not capitalize Japanese and write "-language japanese" instead? That seems far-fetched but it might be odd case recognition.

i tried again with all languages avaiables all worked even russian less japanese "-language japanese" that didn't work i dont know what's going on it's a pity 😕mileysad:  it's like it recognizes like an english language

Edit : I tried something else like removing english vpk and launching with the other languages and every launguage worked but when i launched with -language japanese titanfall doesnt launched like with -language english of course :/ i think something it's going on with that

Of course i tried -language japanese, or -language Japanese, its same case that everything just turn into english instead.

I asked CS, they say my version of game does not included Japanese.

However, as i mentioned, when i preorder it on Origin, I am very sure that Japanese is listed as one of the supported langauge.

But now they say its not there, and is not willing to help me to switch my game region.

(Keep asking me to refund, while my payment method is not refundable at all)

I have just tested this and did hear Japanese voice. Here is the exact Command Line Argument used: -language japanese

After entering the -language japanese switch you did click Apply right?

Note,

You need to use the smaller dash:

–language English

-language English

Try updating your Origin game client.

I copy and pasted (and type) excatly the same command line: -language japanese.

Yet its English.

And again, I would like to ask if yours one is Worldwide version ?

Because I was told by CS so many time that they say my HK/TW version purchased through origin do not support Japanese.

However, I have to repeatedly emphaize that Japanese is actually listed as supported language when I preorder.

And they refuse to help me with this case (Just ask me to refund, which is not a viable because I paid with prepaid card.)

same here I'm in SEA region (Thai) and I have a same problem as you trying to change to japanese version but everything still the English

It seems your issue is different from the usual dash issue for language swapping.

We'll escalate it to the Origin and Studio teams, and come back to you when we have more information.
