What error are you getting: 99% of the time the game is stuck on the "ships" loading screen. 0.8% of the time it will let me in a game lobby with , 0.5% the game will hang at "Connecting" after the game lobby. 0.3% will it actually let me in a game.
Have tried forwarding ports, DMZ the xbox and set QOS priority to the xbox, nothing seems to work.
The 2 matches I have been able to get into run fine, so its probably not a matter of simply not having the connection quality to play.

Same here. I had no issues when I actually managed to get into a game, but it's only happened twice in five days.
