I too have been doing this. THe twitter gave me the canned response you mention, and when I said I'd already done that gave me the same canned response again. On FB they tried to send me to the same help page, and when I said I'd already done that got the following:

Once again they are unwilling to take on the fact that it is an issue at their end and they need to do something to fix it. Instead they pass thebuck and expect us to magically fix things for them. I should be invoicing them for doing their tech support.
