Opened all ports, placed PC in DMZ on the router.
I noticed when it gets stuck on the ships of death loading screen its still downloading data for the whole time the screen is displayed (25Mb+) .
My Phone connects at about 7Mb down 1Mb up - my ADSL broadband is 4Mb down 480Kb up.
So howcome i can't connect with my ADSL... it's 10mb out and 1mb in???? Can't really believe it's network related to be honest. The main reason still persists in the game.
When I say network its not bandwidth (well I dont think so) - its got to be with ISP / Router combo perhaps? Maybe Azure is holding a lock on our IP address when we try and connect.
Just tried my phone again and I was straight in and playing (for the first time). My ping was higher 101ms comapred to 50ms for ADSL byt played fine.
I also noticed in total it downloaded 5.5Mb so what its doing on the screen of death I have no idea.
