This is certainly a server load problem: I tried at 8am today and got in on the first try, but I've had a zero percent success rate for the past three nights.
I work for a well-known ISP within the UK, and If we had any problem like this and did not give customers a Estimated Time of Fix we would be held to gunpoint and executed at dawn. The reply from EA has been terrible the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing, give us an update and what the problem is at least that will give us some piece of mind. Not telling us makes us think you are either too lazy or not intelligent enough to fix your own issues, give us something to go in if you want us to stick with the game and have faith in EA.
