loading screen of death
yipppeeeee havent got past the loading screen yet and havent been able to since day 1.
i have tried all your recomendations and nothing works. i can play bf4, dead rising 3, ryse, and ghosts without a problem.
so now its your turn to fix the game.
- Anonymous11 years agoEverybody try this it completely fixed the problem for me on Xbox one. Go to your connection setup on your network setting and go to advanced options. Go to DSN settings and change it from automatic to manual. Set the primary DSN to 8.8.8.8 and the secondary to 8.8.2.2 This is a public DSN hosted by Google and it allowed me to connect and completely play the game.

Not sure if my issue has anything to do with this thread, I'd think as the thread topic is as vague as it is it wouldn't hurt to post this here...During the beta, my latency to the U.S. East data center was appx. 35ms, sometimes lower. Now that the game is released, I (and my wife now that she plays) always have 70+ latency, which climbs during each match, and, out of all 12 players I (we) have always had the highest latency compared to everyone elses. This does not matter which data center I (we) connect to, although at the moment the U.S. East is the only viable choice for us as everything else is 100+ to boot. When first loggin on to the game, U.S. East reports 50ms, exactly, every...single...time.... but as soon as a round starts and I pull up the scoreboard.... ~poof~ 65ms... then 70....then 85...then 95.. and it bounces around between 70 and 100 until the game is closed and restarted. Then once again, latency starts out at 50, exactly, and climbs during the first round.
For what it's worth, although some may say it doesn't matter... whenever I do a speedtest via speedtest.net, I can ping just about ANY server in the "contiguous" United States and "ALWAYS" get less than 75ms results on the West Coast, 20-45 on the Eastern half and part of the MidWest! Also while playing BF4, I have 25-35ms latency while connecting to servers hosted anywhere on the Easter half, 50ish on Westcoast servers, which follows with the speedtest's results.
I have tried opening ports and leaving them alone, no difference. I've disabled Norton AV & firewall, nothing changes. I've checked and double checked my ethernet settings (as we are both wired to the router), nothing matters.
I have had no "obvious" problems as a direct result, the key word being "obvious"... when playing against everyone who's latency shows 20ms or less though, one tends to start thinking that they are at a disadvantage because their game's data isn't being communicated as quickly as everyone elses, which in turn 'could' lead to issues such as hit detetion problems like... shooting at someone as soon as I see them on my screen, instantly die, watch the kill cam playback and see 'their' screen showing that they started shooting at me WELL before I even saw them!
