Origin Overlay Disabled in Titanfall?

If you have Razer Mouse software installed then you have to close that before starting the game. That was the fix for me.

Steam (also Raptr) was the cause of the Origin overlay issue, at least for me, and I tried every other suggestions/known issues around the internet trying to find a **bleep** ing fix for it. Turns out, all I had to do was simply close/exit Steam & or Raptr, then run the game from my desktop shortcut or through Origin directly. You can re-open Steam/Raptr after the game is running, if you want, I see no reason you would absolutely need Steam to be open, so I dont bother. (Raptr, however, tracks my play time and gives rewards and so on. So I would re-open Raptr personally.) Unless I'm planning on using Steam to chat, since the larger sum of my friends are on Steam more than Origin. (I suggest to wait till you hit the main menu of Titanfall before opening Steam/Raptr, just to confirm that it is now running with the Origin overlay and shows that the store is available.

Step by Step Summary

1.) Exit/Close all the way out of Steam/Raptr.  Make sure to check your system tray, it may have minimized either of them rather than actually closing them.

2.) run the game.

3.) Play Titanfall with the overlay and friends. ENJOY! 

Additional Info: It was not the Overlays themselves of Steam nor Raptr that were effecting the Origin Overlay as I had turned them both off theorizing that was the problem at the time. What is the cause? idk maybe Origin is just a pile of **bleep** at the moment or its a method of consumer control which makes sense it is EA after all they only want you to play their products and use their software. (sounds like **bleep** microsoft too.) Well, what would you do if you were that greedy? Hmmm I'd make an overlay that is broken if anyother overlay program is runnng, nice... Dicks.

Overlay programs that overlay over each other, and just overlays in general is a big problem on PC today. The easiest way to rule it out is to do a clean boot: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/ and then try your game you are having trouble with.

Microsoft actually solved this by making their "Games for Windows – Live" built directly into the games, but sadly that sucked in many other ways.

Yeah this is an old post but the probablem crops up across all games.  I also had this problem and I found a third level down setting that was disabling it that is not mentioned here - I believe it was set by the Nvidia Experience -> Use Optimized Settings for this Game thing but who knows, it could have been me.

So if you are having problems with Origin In Game coming up for any game, try these things:

1. Maybe another overlay is running -> try closing it (Steam/Raptr/UPlay) just in case

2. In Origin, check "Origin" -> "Application Settings" -> "Origin In Game" -> "General" and ensure Enable Origin In Game is checked (my radio button was set to "Supported Games Only" which works for me)

3. And here was what was wrong with my setup: In Origin go to the "My Games" tab -> Hover Over Game in Question -> Click the "i" icon -> "Game Properties" -> "Disable Origin In Game for this Game" should be unchecked.

I tried several times but nothing happened

Magnifex and anyone who has problems like this follow this steps...the programs which cancel Origin Overlay In Game is OBS,Bandicam,Drop Box ,all Razer Programs etc etc

 You need to Shut down for Ex. Drop Box and other programs of this type and Shut down Origin.

First step -open Origin

Two step-open the game you want to play

Third step-put the game in the bar,open for Ex. Drop Box  and now you can continue playing the game.

NOTE.As long as you use this program(Drop Box etc etc) must follow exactly the steps above.

And also BitDefender,AVG,Norton,Kaspersky,McAfee cancel Origin Ovelay In Game.but they have their settings to give enable to Origin Overlay In Game

Make sure to exit game before you perform the following steps:

1. Origin -> Application Settings

2. Origin In Game

3.  Enable the Origin In Game.

Restart the game and download.
