Forum Discussion
Hi there, I have/had the same problem. I've searched the entire forum and more for what might cause/solve this problem and i think I finally solved it! Since I've spent so much time looking for an answer I hope this helps you and saves you the time, and maybe other people experiencing the same problem who end up here.
Before all of the things below I did try some other things I found on this forum and elsewhere:
- Download and extract this dll package in C:\Windows\System32: http://www.bitdefender.com/files/KnowledgeBase/file/dlls.zip
- Update my bios to the latest version
- Disable vsync
- Run the game in windowed mode
If the above doesn't help, I've been talking to EA support for about 1,5 hours now and these are the troubleshooting steps they guided me through:
1. Disable firewall and antivirus
2. Try repairing Titanfall in Origin (right-click - repair)
3. After repair launch Origin in Admin mode
4. Try running Titanfall (if crash follow next steps)
6. Try this: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-use-ccleaner-to-fix-pc-issues/ (except Decrap)
If still not working: http://help.ea.com/en/article/manually-uninstalling-origin/ (and of course reinstall Titanfall)
If after all this Titanfall STILL isn't working there are some more steps involving performing a clean boot, unplugging all USB devices and creating a new admin account. Luckily for me it didn't come this far.
Alright...hope this helps! Good luck!

Thanks for the input!
Carbonic - I downloaded the driver from AMDs website - it has updated it from the previous version I had. Should I try Dell's website as well/instead?
Criccle - I will give your suggestions a go and see what happens.

Have you updated your DirectX drivers?
After googling materialsystem_dx11.dll I found that there are a lot of people experiencing this crash and it hasn't been patched yet. Try these threads, some people seem to have got the game working:

There should have been a suggestion here to try the Omega Drivers at Omega Drivers Net (for the OP and his HD 4850). Your 9600 GT is a less powerful, and an older card than the OP's was. You must dial down all graphics quality settings to the minimum, and set a coarse .screen resolution to test drivers with. Your driver situation is a worse one than that faced by this thread's original author.
