Been having the same issue since launch day. Thanks for OP for the update.

I just spoke with a "game advisor" 7 hours ago, and he said everything's up and running on EA's side, and asked me to contact Microsoft support since the servers are run and managed by Microsoft.

Thanks so much for EA for providing conflicting information. It REALLY helped!
