11 years agoBeen having the same issue since launch day. Thanks for OP for the update.
I just spoke with a "game advisor" 7 hours ago, and he said everything's up and running on EA's side, and asked me to contact Microsoft support since the servers are run and managed by Microsoft.
Thanks so much for EA for providing conflicting information. It REALLY helped!

If this doesn't get fixed soon like you suggested, wonder how long are we willing to wait before we throw in the towel and get our refunds!!!
This issue renders the game faulty ie not playable if we can't connect or get reliable online connection.
Is this issue not widespread enough amongst current user base to warrant official response/resolution?
