This is getting very, very frustrating.

PC player here.  Have been since the launch date of the first Titanfall.  I was one of two volunteer MODs when Respawn had the official Titanfall 2 forums.  I've enjoyed a lot of time in this game, but with as much time as I've enjoyed - I'm frustrated as well.

The frustration mainly comes with the state both Titanfall versions are in.  It's with promises made by Respawn and EA, and not kept.  It's with the fact that the game has been fundamentally broken for a long time, DDOS for a long time, and now there are still random disconnects from the matchmaking services.  Not the data centers - but the matchmaking service.

Then the issue I have is that I contact EA support, and every single time I get the same canned response from whatever agent answers, and when I press the issue telling them it's NOT an issue with my system, they close the ticket without comment, and without addressing the issue.

The entire time - they are still selling the game.  They sell it on Steam.  On Origin.  I'm sure on the XBox platform and PS platform.  (I don't own a console, so I can't speak to that).  They use it as a selling point for subscription services.

In other words - this game is abandoned and broken, yet they are still selling it.  They ignore the community asking - BEGGING - for them to fix the game.  Every once in a while someone from EA will pop up on here and say, "Stay tuned, more information is coming" or some other line like that, and then they never come back and say anything.

I mean - even as volunteer mods - the other mod and I had both the community manager and another Respawn employee tell me they were going to send me merch for my volunteer status and they never did.  That's not as important to me as fixing the game - it just adds to the trail of lies and mistreatment of this fan base.

After saying all of this - any EA employee that might still read these forums - do you have ANY update for us?  Any information at all?

The bottom line is - I get a very solid connection to whatever data center I choose - usually, one of the Oregon servers since I'm in Washington state, and with my 1.3Gb connection, I get a sub 20 ping.  I tell it to find games, and it will go for a while, then tell me the server connection times out and kicks me to the main menu.  Doesn't matter any of the settings I use.  Sometimes it only happens once or twice in the about hour I can still allow myself to play, other times I can go the entire hour with it happening.

I can deal with the little issues once I'm in playing the game - the balance issues, the weird bugs that are inherent in the Steam engine that has never been fixed, etc.  When I get into a match, other than the messed up way you have the servers set up causing my ping to be artificially high (e.g. - a 17ping to the data center, but in-game ping is 70+ at times, but usually is around 50-70) which causes weird lag times.  I can deal with the broken melee system, the OP weapons, and idiot light Titan pilots (Ronin/Northstar) that like to come to poach kills from me in my Scorch after I doom the enemy.  I can handle all of that.  What I can't handle is the game being so fundamentally broken it won't connect about half the time.

I can't deal with the promises made and never kept.  Like the Respawn community manager promising TF3 even past the launch of Apex Legends.  The promises made many times in those forums by the community manager for content updates that never materialized.  The basic lie of "We're selling you a game that is playable" when it's so fundamentally broken.

The Titanfall fans are who launched Respawn.  They abandoned Titanfall 2 after only a year, leaving many hanging promises of more content, fixes, and updates.  Then they shot the Titanfall fans in the foot again when they launched Apex Legends while they had kept promising that TF3 was/is in development.  The further insult was saying that Apex Legends is in the "Titanfall Universe" when - yeah, it may be, but it's in name only.

Please give us an update.  ANY update.  Fix the game, or stop selling it.

Wow - and I see EA people responding in other threads since I wrote this.

EA sure as heck won't be getting another thin dime from me, and this is from someone who's been buying the Battlefield franchise since 1942 launch day.  I bought the very first game EA published, and have been buying them since.  I won't be buying their games as gifts, and will strongly advise my kids and grandkids not to as well.

This level of customer service is shameful at best.

@Magikf1ngers Wholeheartedly agree. This year has been a letdown in many ways, and the complete disregard shown for their customers and service users on EA's and Respawn's part is a shining beacon of improper dismissal adding to that pile. They'll take your money but won't fork up the service and functionality that's expected at purchase nor will they offer fixes, solutions or responses to the basic questions of wtf is going on and for how long will it continue to do so. At this point Titanfall 2 should be flagged with a warning label on all platforms selling it - and it effing hurts writing this, 'cause I do love the game.

    Old issue, new ticket.

Since around March or April I've been having issues when playing multiplayer. I connect to the matchmaking lobby and I tend to get disconnected every so often. The search ring freezes and shortly after it disconnects and I'm thrown back to the main menu. Sometimes when I end up at the main menu the cursor starts on Settings, but not always. If I play with friends as a party it usually disconnects way more frequently than when I play by myself. If I change loadouts or check any new acquirements (skins, patches, etc) it typically freezes and I get dropped. If I browse skins, either bought by credits or irl money, it tends to freeze and I get dropped. When connected to matches (while actually playing, that is) things are for the most part running smoothly and I can change loadouts as well as check new skins - although at the cost of getting shanked for standing idle.

How do I fix this? Please advise.

    Platform: PS4

Data center: Frankfurt 1 and 2

Need any other info? Please let me know.

@ICA_Courier This is an issue that everyone is having. I experience it all the time. I can connect to the data center, no problem - but once I hit the "Play" button to find a match - it'll spin, then in random intervals, it will kick me back to the main menu. Eventually I'll get into a match - and when that happens, I can sometimes get two or three in a row.

This started happening around the time the DDOS stuff started, but hasn't been fixed yet. EA doesn't care. Respawn doesn't care.
