Re: Unable to play TitanFall with a Radeon 7970M card/ Win 8.1 64 bit
I FIXED IT :D HOPE THIS WORKS FOR YOU
So the issue with me was my drivers / card.
My AMD card was not running the game although ti seems like it was.
My system also told me my drivers were up to date they were not.
So here's the deal:
When uninstalling the new drivers I would get an error message and CID install error
Some aspects could not be installed but when I run a test it would show drivers up to date - when in fact they were not.
Can't speak for Nvida cards but my catalyst control center would also not open although the tabs where there.
The older drivers or when catalyst did open/run it would ask me what card I wanted to use and then I would assign.
I then assumed the new drivers auto assigns as new demanding games like BF4 would run fine full tilt.
For this exercise ti was not the case. titanfall was running on the intel card only.
So here is the fix.
Uninstalled all AMD drivers / program features
Deleted all AMD files on C drive
Then run CCleaner and cleaned registry also used Driverfusion to do the same
Wanted to make 100% sure I got a clean install.
Then download the latest drivers and save to file on desktop
I did not use beta but stable release before V 13.12
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+7+-+64
now DO NOT RUN this driver yourself
Go to device manager
Right click on update drivers
Use option to update from drivers on your computer
Select driver you saved on desktop
Restart your pc
Then my control center worked as it once did again 🙂
Right click go to catalyst control center
Add new application add titanfall icon from desktop - high performance
Add new application Orgin icon from desktop - high performance
AND BOOM
TIME TO FRAG SOME BITHCES :D
Lastly apologies to EA this was my bad - card bad.
Thank you for a great game 🙂
Good luck peeps
