Sound issues

HI!

This has been a persistent problem for me for a long time, across multiple patches. Basically what happens is the sound begins to lag where you might only hear your foot steps and nothing else. The sound of gunfire, titans, etc will show up seconds after the action and once this starts the only way to get it back to "playable" is to stand still for a minute or so. I find that if my computer was put into sleep mode previous to playing that the problem is worse. If I restart and play the game from boot-up the problem goes away for a while but it eventually comes back. Having nVidia's shadowplay service on makes it worse. All the information I have found points to the CPU as the issue but my specs should handle the game (seen below). I haven't been able to figure out how to fix this, please help! This is the only game I have this issue with. All my other games play fine with no sound issues.

Specs:

Intel core i7 4770k 

G.Skill 16gb @ 2400mhz

ROG Maximus VI z87

GTX 780 ti

the game is stored on a raid 5 array

    hey sorry for late reply.

    I have finally gave up solving it myself and brought to the computer shop of a friend of mine. 

    after a few days of checking, he found the problem and solved it. However I failed to understand what had he done other than understanding there is an error in the system files, which he corrected it and repair the game or sort.

    apologize for not much help here, but at least now I know it's not a hardware issue. 

    but still thanks a lot for helping 🙂 appreciate the help very much.
