Stutter when moving mouse

My framerate is totally stable and the visuals are smooth when running in a straight line but when turning the mouse the display really stutters.

The really annoying part is when watching the killcam that is completely smooth, no matter how much it turns. Same in all other parts, if I dont touch the mouse its all totally smooth.

I've read that raw mouse input isn't enabled, but is there any other option to fix the stutter when turning?

I've tried all combinations of vsync on / off in the game, in the nvidia control panel. Tried triple-buffering, tried maximum pre-rendered frames to 1. I tried different refresh rates as I have a 120hz monitor (60, 85, 100, 120)

System :

i7 3930k

GTX 670

16 GB Ram

Ben xl 2411T

Intellimouse Explorer 3.0

  • I had the same issue but managed to find a solution:

    Try disabling Origin in-game

If this helps you please accept this as an answer so other people who have this problem can find it easier.

  • Thanks for the idea but it makes no difference.

    Might help others though.

If this is still current, try using Bandicam or a similar program in the background that limits your frames per second to something below 60 (40 for example).

  • something below 60?

    no chance.

60 is just about acceptable when everything runs smooth.

At this point with no patch and no news I just have to forget I even bought the game and carry on playing Quake 🙂

run windowed and add this on game properties  -noborder -high +m_rawinput 1

  • tried that about 2 weeks ago. Still stuttered quite badly.
