Hi,
The first thing that I would like to try with you is clearing the Origin cache, and running as administrator afterwards. This will refresh your Origin installation and should resolve any issues that you encounter with delays.
If that doesn't help then the issue could also be connection related. To function properly, Origin uses the following ports:
- TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
- UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900
Note that it is also important to check if your firewall, anti-virus and firewall programs are correctly configured on your system.
If the issue still remains then do a manual uninstall of Origin while running your system in a clean boot.
Let me know if that helps.

That didn't change the delay, although now I'm connected to Iowa instead of Dallas (both ping under 40 anyway).

Hi,
Just to confirm - does this happen all the time? When did this first start happening?
Since you are not getting any error messages I won't be able to review your log files to find the cause of the delay. We've also tried troubleshooting the client to no avail. Check once more that the delay isn't being caused by a background program running on your system such as video capturing program or motherboard related app.
I still unsure what the cause of this issue is so any further information that you are able to share will help me look into this for you.

This does happen all the time. The last time I used origin was during the BF1 open beta and I didn't notice any issues then, but I wasn't using the overlay for that.
[admin edit: log removed as it is attached in the next post].
