titan fall 2 audio

I have seen a common issue with 7.1 surround headphones that causes distorted audio, clipping, and in some cases even lag. i just hopped this might help you guys get this info to those who might need it, as its a method i havnt found with google searching. this issue reminds me a lot of using music production software. when the sound is too high, it peaks and creates these popping sounds. so you have to limit them back. so when i heard the audio pops, i knew it wasnt just something as simple as just being a 7.1 audio format, or that would just have missing/missplaced sounds in 3d space. so after some digging, i found the location of the config file ( C:\Users\"username"\Documents\Respawn\Titanfall2\local ) and noticed that after turning the in game audio down, there was still a setting called "voice_mixer_volume" still at 1.0. i set it to 0.7 and now i dont clip anymore.
