Titanfall 2 not launching (error 0xc000007)

I recently bought Titanfall 2 on the EA App, and since then have not been able to get it to launch.

I have been in active contact with support, who told me to post here.

When i try to launch the game through the EA-App the app closes, opens again and nothing happens. If i try to launch from the install location (Titanfall2.exe) i get the error message "the application is unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)"

Other Games (Sims 4) run without issues from the EA-App.

My System Specs:
Intel i7-6700k

16gb DDR4 3200 cl16

Geforce GTX 1070

2TB 7200rpm 256mb cash hdd

I have tried all of the following:
-Reinstalling the Game and the EA-App

-Clearing the Cashe in the EA-App

-Installing the newest VC++ version

-Updating Windows to the newest version

-Updating the EA-App to the newest version

-Running the game in admin mode and multiple different compatibility modes

-I have ran chkdsk on the relevant HDD

-Installed the newest Microsoft NET version

I would love to get this working because i dont really see a reason for this not to.

  • Hello @e6fs43m91cj9

    If you are seeing 0xc000007b error, and you are running Windows 10, it might be because Windows 10 disables NET Framework by default.

    To enable NET Framework:

    1. Open the Control Panel.
      • Search Control Panel in the Start menu to find it.
    2. Click Uninstall a program under Programs.
    3. Click Turn Windows features on or off.
    4. Click the + next to all of the NET Framework options you see, usually 3.5 and 4.6, and check the boxes.
    5. Reinstall VC++ x64 and x86 for 2010, 2012 and 2013.
