TitanFall 2 party system is either broken or terrible and laggy?

Titan Fall 2 party system is not working ... well?

I am trying to play with fellow PC players and it is laggy and terrible.  There is no way to join the party in the game?  I have to join outside of the game via the friends menu?  Then in 5 minutes ...  sometimes the players join and after 7 minutes... we try again.  WTF  WHO THE EFFIN MADE THIS PARTY SYSTEM???

WHY IS IT BROKE?

Is it too late to get a refund?  Titan Fall 2 is BROKEN....?
