Yes asking for admin privileges was recent. Where do i go to check if the drive TF2 is installed to, has read/write permissions from Windows? I tried the other two things you suggested with nothing changing.

When installing on Steam it will ask you which drive to install the game to that would be the location. I believe you can also right-click on the game in steam and see where it is installed.
On that storage drive, you should be able to right-click the install folder > Select Properties
- Make sure Read-only is unchecked
- Under the "security" tab make sure your account on the device has full access/control

I tried to do this but the Read-only keeps becoming checked. The security account does have full access/control and the game still won't launch. I just wanted to make sure this is what i'm supposed to be trying to uncheck?
it didn't work i'm still having all the issues
