I also had a similar problem on Titanfall 2. Because of Origin, Titanfall 2 was always using the integrated graphics even if I select Nvidia graphics in Nvidia control panel for Titanfall 2. This is what worked for me on Titanfall 2 trial.
So I am assuming it will work on Titanfall 1 also.
I changed the "Preferred graphics processor" for "Global Settings" to "High-performance Nvidia processor" in "Nvidia Control Panel" under "Manage 3D settings", started the game using origin and it started using Nvidia gpu. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the post @dpkkdn
There was an issue a few years back where choosing the appropriate card wasn't as easy, but it should be resolved now.- 9 years ago
Its not. Its still ongoing as I'm experiencing it right now. I'm gonna do the fix the other guy suggested but I hate that I have to because if I install a new program now it will auto choose my nvidia which could potentially slow it down if I don't take notice.
Please tell me theres a different fix or work around. I dont want to have to keep going back into my Nvidia Control Panel each time I want to play the game...
