Ultra Widescreen aspect ratio HUD is broken. Radio blocks entire view.
Ultra widescreen should be set up so that the HUD stays in the center screen of a three screen setup as usual so that it is in view and remains useful. If the pertinent information is on the extreme outside corners you have to cover a lot of distance to see what you need from corner to corner, and it becomes a detriment. This doesn't make the game unplayable, but it should not be an issue anymore. BF1 does it right, for example.
However the radio transmission pictures that pop up when someone is communicating break the game entirely. In ultra widescreen aspect ratio (5920x1080, three 1920x1080's with 80 pixel bezel correction between) those pictures take up almost my whole center screen, obscuring the center of my vision and reticle. It is genuinely unplayable and game breaking.
I just gave it a second try. I didn't notice last time that the main menu doesn't exist. I hit enter after waiting awhile the first time and it went right into the campaign. I thought that's just what it did. This time I realize that every option in the main menu is completely off screen.
Why even have an ultrawidescreen aspect ratio? Why didn't anyone test this a single time? Just once would have been enough. It would all be so simple for the devs to fix. Instead we have to wait for third party programs like Flawless Widescreen to do their jobs for them.
Well, I'm not waiting for this one. I'm seeking a refund for this broken game.
