Update #8 Causing Memory Leaks & fps drops
Origin ID: RobboTheSecond
Server/data centre: West Europe or North Europe
Bug overview: Suspected Memory Leak after Patch 8 Causing FPS loss after 3 or 4 consecutive matches.
Specific details: Problem started occurring with Patch #8. After 3 or 4 consecutive matches played (regardless of map), then fps will decrease, and stuttering will occur. I have tracked this using Windows Task Manager and system RAM usage steadily climbs during the session over the course of those 3 or 4 matches, rising by a step at the start of each match - it's using up to 5.6GB now, before only 4GB. This is when the fps drops occur. Seems like a memory leak to me. (VRAM usage is OK, I've been tracking that since I've had this game - always under 3GB for my settings)(Not a CPU or GPU overheating or throttling issue either, I keep track of that too).
Frequency: At each gaming session - always after 3 or 4 consecutive matches.
Reproduction steps: Play game for 3 or 4 consecutive matches of Attrition, system RAM usage steadily climbs (memory leak), fps drops occur. Increased RAM usage also seen on Frontier Defense, but doesn't cause any noticeable frame rate drops on Frontier Defense.
System specs: Alienware M17xR3 laptop, i7-2630QM, 16GB 1866Mhz RAM, GTX 670MX 3GB, Windows 7 64bit Home Premium, NVidia Driver: 344.48 whql. (same issue when using driver 344.11 too, doesn't seem driver related).
(Additional Info: I created a thread on this over on notebookreview forums for any devs who might want to take a look to see if other users post the same issue, plus there are pics of the memory usage during Titanfall that help illustrate the problem:
