Updates and Verifying Game Files

I'm new to PC gaming and Titanfall especially. So I went and bought the game at Walmart (so it's a disk game) and I finished the installation with audio and all. But when I click play from Origin, it says I need to update it. So after it starts updating but all it says is "Verifying game files" for about 5 minutes then gives me an error code. It's pretty frustrating considering that this is my first PC game and this is how it ends up for me.

    i know how you feel took two days to have someone respond to my problem. and its still not solved. search the thread more i think i saw someone that had that problem you have. but that was two days ago when i looked for a fix for myself.

    My daughter has this same issue with Sims4 that she just purchased. Got the game downloaded ok but it bombs out everytime it tries to do the update necessary to play the game.  it goes to verify game files for update and then gets an error every time.  Is there a solution yet?

    I had the same problem. i fixed it by finding the save location of the game (go to local disk, program files x86, origin games, titanfall, then find the application) right click and Run as Administrator, origin should come up asking to update, click update and the game should begin to download. Hope this helps!
