Very Frustrating Crashing Issue - UPDATED: May Have Uncovered New Issue

Okay, so after countless hours of troubleshooting I'm pretty convinced this issue may be impossible to fix, and likely should ask for a refund soon, but here goes.

I've simply been unable to stay on the main menu for more than roughly 10 seconds before the game just closes down (usually with no error- but I've seen words ntdll failure or something like that).

Most of the the time I don't even make it to the main menu. But if I make it to say, the options menu, it'll close down as soon as I change the resolution or settings for example.

I believe if I have a window open like say Task Manager, and Titanfall is running windowed in background behind it, it'll stay up indefinetly (until I click on/enter the program or engage it in anyway). I've had this exact issue since beta (where I falsely believed it would be fixed in retail..)

Specs: Win8 64bit, Core 2 quad Q8400, 6gb ram, geforce gtx 460.. If you cared to read, plz help me, thank you

UPDATE: Going through the topic, it looks like this issue may seriously be related to either our CPUs, or our Gigabyte motherboards! Can someone from EA please advise on this?

  • Okay, one more thing to add to the "did not work" list.

Flashed my BIOS to the latest version (did have a few improvements listed)

    Let GeForce experience optimize

    Removed launch options

    First map played -> Crash

I'm pretty sure I've tried everything possible now..

Guys, a small update also from my side.

On Saturday, AMD released a new driver, version 14.4

After the update, I tried to see if the game behavior would change, and I am happy to report that it did. I played almost 2 hours non-stop without any crashes/glitches/artifacts whatsoever!!!!

Could have been a fluke though, I will keep playing and let you know.

As per my previous post, my system is this :

    Windows 7 64bit

    HD Radeon 5970 2Gb RAM GDDR5

    8Gb Ram

    Quad 2 Core CPU Q9400  @ 2.66GHz
