Xbox 360 Titanfall Doesn't Work with Ethernet over Powerline - all other games/services do
I've been battling this issue since lauch day.
Only recently did I find out it was Titanfall having an issue with the ethernet over powerline adapter. The interesting part is that with my laptop I run the UOTrace test that EA troubleshoots with and I have better results with the ethernet over powerline than I do with the wireless (e.g. lower latency and zero dropped packets).
EA support just emailed me that my issue was "resolved" because I had to buy a wireless adapter for Titanfall. Keep in mind ONLY TITANFALL HAS THE ISSUE!!! THE ADAPTER WAS BOUGHT ONLY TO TROUBLESHOOT TITANFALL! Their resolution is to buy an adapter to make their game work instead of correcting their networking code to work properly.
ALL OTHER XBOX 360 GAMES AND SERVICES WORK PERFECTLY ON THE ETHERNET OVER POWERLINE ADAPTER.
For reference the recent correspondence is noted below:
Damien,
Thanks for your response.
I regretfully don't agree with your assessment of the issue. If you'd read my case in detail you'll find that it is not resolved. Titanfall, and only Titanfall, doesn't not work with the Ethernet over powerline adapter. COD4, Netflix, etc. all work perfectly/flawlessly on the Xbox 360. ONLY TITANFALL HAS AN ISSUE.
Therefore, since only Titanfall is not working then it is something within the programming for Titanfall's networking is causing the issue. You/EA hasn't given me any information to date that proves it isn't. All evidence to date points to Titanfall having an issue.
Until such time that you can satisfactorily explain why ONLY Titanfall has the issue with the Ethernet over powerline then I consider this UNRESOLVED. The issue isn't resolved because I had to buy an adapter JUST FOR THIS GAME. Let me restate it again, Titanfall and only Titanfall has issues with the Ethernet over powerline adapter and all other Xbox 360 games and services work fine.
I look forward to your response.
Thanks,
Ryan

My name is Damien and I am an EA Game Specialist.I have received and reviewed your case with regards to the difficulty playing Titanfall on your Xbox with you being unable to join a game.
I was very sorry to hear that you had this issue and know how frustrating an experience like this can be. I can only empathize with the inconvenience and disruption that this may cause to your game play and enjoyment.
As per your recent case update, it appears that this issue has been resolved by you by purchasing and enabling the MS wireless adapter. As you are now able to play the game we consider the issue resolved. However if you still wish to have this issue investigated I would advise you to contact either your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or Xbox Microsoft support as this issue seems to be directly connected to your connection or your console.
