Really like the top of it. The fence/wall looks ok. Just curious, did you try a training wall on the side? The door would look like a side door.
I agree that the fence is not perfect. The training wall might be a good idea. I did try using the orange brick walls, but when I added the cobblestone walls it creates a "step" like I am terracing rather than just a flat wall. I will have to try the training walls and will repost if it looks even remotely good- the garden is lovely :)
other than the training wall have you considered white fencing? the chain wall is not the best. also if you surround the building with trees it might help with the illusion. though space might be an issue - here it is with the training wall.

I am very surprised that you have not attempted/done this. You are one of the best creative minds on here. I love your work. I will have to try the white fences during my lunch.
Did yo mean surround the building or surround the "fence fake walls" with trees?
Yes, space is an issue as this is the last free space I have in my SFbrettolmsted wrote:

wow thanks for the compliment! i like your stuff too :) have you attempted a panorama yet? :)
I dont do a lot of 3d cos i dont think of myself as being particularly good at it. There are others here on the board that are a lot better at it. for example meldesigner. yes i meant the trees could surround the building and help with the illusionbut it looks like you dont have the space for it?brettolmsted wrote:

i really like the colours. just not sure about the "seams" showing. need trees to hide the seams maybe?- On your suggestion Mae, here it is with a white fence. I agree I like the colors of the training wall, but I do not know why EA made it so the seams do not line up. I think it looks better this way. What does everyone think?
http://i.imgur.com/BXUlkYO.jpg - The training wall and the white fence both look better than the original but they also pose their own visual problems. I would keep playing arond with wall and tree combos until you find the one you're happy with. The top still looks great.
