Yours looks nice. It reminds me a lot of mine, where everything is square and/neatly surrounded by roads. I bet once you buy more land you'll do a more elaborate redesign. I know that's my plan.
Yep, pretty much, just lacking money to buy the land needed. After I posted the pics I started pulling up areas of my Springfield... Going to do a whole re-design again! -.- if anyone would like to see pics as I re-design feel free to ask :)- Looks good! I particularly like the green / water areas -- the farm and the church neighborhood.
My small suggestion - to create a more wide open look and make things a bit less gray, try to use as few roads as possible (only what you need), and avoid using roads to separate buildings. Instead, use things like grass, water, and sometimes pavement to separate buildings. For an example of how I tried to minimize the roads in my town, you can check out my sig. Also, look for ways to group similar buildings together into districts as you did in pic #2. Good work! - Really nice! Your church pic made me giggle, looks like the balloons are tied to patty's hair (and the chapel set up is beautiful).
I do agree with mopurglar's very sound advice, by cutting down on roads, you'll have a more fluid look and also have more land in the long run but definitely looking great! - Well here goes the re-design.. I started on the housing district and kept a few other areas in place.
Haven't really started decorating anything yet, just trying to get the basic structure in place first.
Not sure on the buddist temple, if I should decorate around it or put shops in that spot instead? - I like your City Hall and Sir-Puts-Alot designs. And yes, I think you should decorate around your Buddhist Temple. You could move it to one side of the block, out in a body of water and some nice trees, flowers and plants.

Thanks lol but I'm a girl haha- Finished my Buddist temple.
Thought it made sense to have these two on the same block.
And finished my Police station, might put the DMV in the empty space later. mikeydluffy wrote:
