Looks good, @bluntcard ! I appreciate designs that pair the monorail to the Overpass Diner (since we can’t build any other kind)
My 3 improved neighborhoods are DONE! I’m soooo happy with all of them. It didn’t take long to sort which buildings paired best with each other; as well as which economic region they suited. Remarkably, all new bldgs fit in perfectly with existing properties, as far as spacing goes. Every design is surprisingly balanced and non cluttered or cramped. What a great event!!! Here they are:
Heavenly Hills shopping district gains a new high-end strip mall
I placed the more prestigious stores here; added an aquarium feature, and attempted to create an entrance to underground parking. (This was previously unused space. Fit perfectly!)
Lil Tokyo grows higher in density
I used all the darker blue-grey buildings here. I aligned the Parking arrow sign with the lot entrance; all signs are easily readable with no obstructions. I like the Atomic Man poster.
Barnacle Bay gets a shopping district
The BB neighborhood between the prisons and the industrial park is a very run-down area. My Overpass Diner was already on this corner, so the rail top buildings fit perfectly here. In front of those, i chose the buildings with similar, windowed façades. The bldg with the side-end windows had to go on the corner. Again, sign placement is unobstructed and parking has logical flow.
I also created a small apartment complex next to the NDofSF college campus, for some cheap, old student housing ?
