2 monorail trains

Having just won the krustyburger drive through, which comes with it's own monorail train, I found that if I join it up to my existing system, I only have one train, but if I keep it seperate, I can have two trains. So I guess I can have fun building two monorail systems around the town.

  • Correct, each station has its own train but if you link them then you only get one train running around, at one point I had 4 individual monorail setups but eventually I decided during one of my redesigns to consolidate to a single monorail that goes all around my Springfield.
  • Are there 5 or 6 stations now?

    • Regular
    • Krusty
    • Tetanus
    • Mall
    • Magic
    • North Pole
  • Yes I've just discovered i could have the tetanus train separate too. Problem is it's such a pain trying to arrange 3 tracks. I didn't know there were magic and North Pole ones too
  • Here are the six stations:

I started out with three loops set to bypass at some stations so it looked like trains stopped there.

I ended up with a long run that stops and reverses at each end. Takes 5 min to go around.
  • I had a separate train running between each station, so that each station had two different arriving and departing trains, but it was all connected linear so the rail kinda seemed like just one line. But i did a mini-nuke and removed all of it.

I'll be making a new monorail soon. I'm debating between one long continuous rail line; or one central station with 5 departing lines that go to each other station.
  • I have 2 lines running round the outskirts of my main town and 2 running round my SH area. Took forever to get the tracks matched up and each train to be going in an opposite direction to the other one but it looks amazing if I do say so myself :)
