I'd spend all that cash on bonus leveling and get some donuts that way. (Australia raised some kind of rate on video/mobile games, so yes the price went up.)

The significant price increase is for non-US users of Apple's Appstore, and you see it with IAPS in many apps, not just TSTO.
Would try to get your hands on an Android device if you want to buy donuts.
