That's the exact same way for me, even the odd 10 minute task but I only get 24 hour jobs mainly before updates, it happened on Halloween AND Christmas. . Always with the big updates this happens.
Same for me, I seem to only get 1 hour tasks or 4 hour tasks - the ones I use the least. 24 sometimes, but not a lot.
Grandpa is always telling war stories (the only task that ever comes up for him), Squeaky Voiced Teen has to be at the truffle a lot (or the aztec), Homer always needs to run to see Apu, never anything long. I notice I get much less random tasks when Krustyland is full.
