So, I'm going through the menu of different buildings, characters, etc., and I see under "recommended" Barney's Bowlarma... for 250 donuts. I have eight... haha It'll take me weeks, if not months to earn that many donuts. Is that how EA gets you to dive into your pocket? I have to admit, I'm not, what my friends and I call, a wallet warrior. I've been hugely impressed with many of my neighbor's towns. How long did it take you to get all those donuts for those special buildings?

At the beginning, I would occasionally buy a few of the 0.99 premium scratch tickets from the Kwik-E Mart. After a few months of still not being able to get the things I really wanted, I began buying donuts. I have twice purchased the boatload of donuts and once the store of donuts. I have been able to use the monorail tasks, Where's Maggie game and daily tasks to help in little spurts.Once I started coming to this board regularly and began to understand the mechanics of farming Kwik-E Marts, Bloodmobiles, and Rat Trap Trucks things got way better. For the last few months, I have been able to keep my donut reserves between 1000-1500 donuts at all times and I get "most" of the new premium things that I want.Read the Tips for New Players & Other Links stickied above written by Muhsterino. Barneys was available for (free) 200 Santa coins (the event currency of the time) in December of 2012. That's how most of us long time players got it but yes it is a lot.

I scrimped and saved for about a year as a early freemium player and finally bought Barney. That was back when donuts were hard to get though. Android started after Christmas so no freebie for me.

It's a lot different now, you should be able to earn them in short order.

I just stumbled across a mention of KEM's, Colliders, and donuts and very little of it makes sense to me. I'm more I read, the less I know. lol

Collider increases XP return for a time, but it costs donuts. Farming is building and selling kwik E Marts(KEM) for the XP.

Together you have a recipe for nearly unlimited bonus donuts.
