A "Time Travel" Update...?

I'd love to see an alternate time event, where someone travels through time and thus changing our towns to reflect that time period. For example, using your example, if Homer was a child, all of the children we know would be gone during the event, and the adults would be the children, and the seniors.... well, you get it. It could be accompanied with music from that era.

It would be best if the event could alter as much in our towns as possible, to give a better feel of having traveled through time.
