I don't agree with this reasoning. There are plenty on here who are professionals making well above 100K a year on their own salary without factoring in the salary of their spouses. Those people may choose not to spend their discretionary income on a game. They may also choose to do it.
I don't think income should factor into this conversation. There are also students on here with very little income so by this reasoning they shouldn't want to pay for the items? What if they have very little expenses?
Then there are those who set aside X amount every payday for "fun" and they choose to spend it on games.
I'm just saying that income probably isn't that big of a weighted item when making these determinations. I'd say how much time/effort is invested in the game is a higher indicator.
Thoughts? If you are spending hours a day, are you (anybody) more willing to spend the cash?
