Intermittent bart screen all day for me. Lots of people on the servers due to forced update I suppose. Give it a little time to wind down and don't panic.

I can get into my Springfield for about 30 secs - a minute then it crashes. Also after I completed rockets red glare pt 3. It started me over on rockets red glare pt 3.

Every time I've opened it today (after it downloaded the update) I've gotten the Bart screen. Then retry will work to load my town, but then it will crash after a minute or so. It took three tries to get the fireworks quest started. My usual tricks of clearing the cache and force stopping have no effect. I'm on Android, so it doesn't even appear to be a platform issue :?

LOL. "A degree of fear" puts it very well.As to your question, I've not had that specific problem, but a new one of my own. On my nexus, only since the current update hit, every time I load the program I get the Bart screen ... I hit "retry" which NEVER worked in the past, and it then loads up just fine. Just this one device. Not my other android (Samsung Galaxy) and not my iPad. Every single time. Uninstalled, reinstalled, walked around the house three times counter-clockwise singing all the verses to "City of New Orleans" ... Nothing worked.

Thanks for replying all. Sorry about all your problems. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.

Anyone else having trouble getting into the game?

I had no idea it was doing that! I'm on a mobile device and the whole thing shows up when I look at it. If that's what other people see, I suppose I'll keep it that way. It's too GD funny to change it :lol:

I have another problem. I can't identify all the people who are visiting my Springfield. The majority have the names of visiting neighbours floating up as normal when you tap on them. Maybe 8 or 10 have just given up cash, no name. I decided to keep a check last week when I realised that some people were not doing any visiting during Stonecutters. I'm planning to remove the selfish neighbours who don't give back but I need to be sure. Hope they fix this soon.

Ooh, you're from Yorkshire. I had a holiday, visiting York, Harrogate, Whitby, Scarborough and Filey just last week. Beautiful.

Yep, the game is pretty much unplayable on my Nexus now. It works for a few seconds then crash crash crash.

It's even started crashing on my HTC One X and it's NEVER done that before.

Hope they fix it soon.

Mine starts off with Bart's 'retry' screen, then I tap and it goes through the regular startup process just fine. Happens every time now - weird!

get that dang retry screen every time logging on after the update - but it only does it once and then works normal - so I can deal for now
