By the way EA did something similar with an add on for FIFA 14 where they didn't transfer a discount it offered between 360 and xbox One. No reason they couldn't have applied the discount as other bits of this package transferred over. Only the discount didn't.

The tax doesn't get collected by EA at the end of the day. It is collected by the government. different regions have different tax. Ontario is 13%. Some states are free. etc etc.EA must report their income and pay taxes on it based on that particular region.
