Are Streets Necessary?

I like how streets look but have replaced 30% of my roads with pavements so I can put my cars on them
  • They are NOT neccesary.

You can even stack all buildings together and the jobs will still work, and after that all characters will go back to the street, No matter how small the streets are.
  • You don't need streets. You are right when you say that characters return to the street after a job. If there are no streets, they will stay where they are without moving, after a job.

I want to free up some space.

Am I wrong when I say, that one single street right through the middle of Springfield will be enough, since every character returns to it after the job/quest is done and all builidngs are accessable without streets as well?

I had my sons' abandoned town like this, it was nothing but rivers and just a couple of little docks here and there. It gets boring very quickly. The design ability is lacking. They always returned to the small docks.

I like having rivers and bridges all over my town, I love those bridge lights. I also have a ton of sidewalks although the knuckle heads never use them (pavement next to the roads).

Is funny to see them standing outside their buildings  One road like a central point for them to meet is one of the better things to do :) Helps finding them as you know where they will end up :)
