So, they turn out bad and you don't agree with the game (where I'm not totally sure either what upsets you)? Sounds like Scouting is bad if they're going to congress and you dislike their political bent. Don't vote for them, please!
Not thrilled is just the beginning.
I have seen some Cubs that started with me become Eagle Scouts and awesome members of their community.
A couple are going for congress...... I really dislike their political bent, but I am voting for one, and if he asks, going door to door for the other.- No, I am totally thrilled that a few are going for congress. My political bents are not (well, I am an old fart, my father for several presidents in the 60's was a White House advisor) I will support my scouts nomatter what. Their political bent and public statements are honest. They know I am watching them.
Scouts represent what is good and great. Not really "cool" in this day and age, but needed. I have earned a lot. many different religions, all based on learning/committed to community. - OP: My husband and son are both Eagle Scouts, and I agree with everything you posted.
When I heard the Scout Master was coming to the game, I bought a bunch of donuts so I could snap him up right away. I think it's funny. You don't *have* to buy him. But his original appearance made my spouse and I laugh our heads off.
EDIT: Just to add that the Scouts have stringent rules in place for Youth Protection that all leaders are required to follow, so that "villains" cannot "recruit" them. - It's game that makes fun of everything. Not to be taken serious. If something offends you then you don't have to buy it. It's not for everyone.
- He's a parody of the campness of the original Batman.
- Definitely not telling anyone that they ought to like what I like, but I thought the Scoutmaster sequence from that particular Simpsons episode was truly hilarious. I was a fan of both the original, campy Batman series as well as the actor Paul Lynde.
- For those considering buying him: He's voiced!! (Loudly!)
- barryriddl474Seasoned NewcomerI always thought he was supposed to be based on the late Paul Lynde (as well as the '60s Batman reference), who I thought was hilarious when I was a child. I think he's awesome.

That's exactly right on both counts. Scoutmaster was voiced by Billy West (voice actor on Futurama) in the style of Paul Lynde. The Hooded Claw was my favorite character in the Whacky Races/Penelope Pitstop Cartoons.
