I'm afraid I'll pass on this one. It's all that crafting of heights material I find such a pain. EA need to change it like they did with the monorail.
The problem with the SH crafting is the timescales and number of items crafted in one go. I genuinely don't have the time or the inclination to sit on my tablet grinding 2, 4, 8 minutes tasks to raise what is needed to purchase SH Items.
As you say, the monorail works so much more effectively (and always did, to be fair) by doing three things better:Making the tasks themselves longer (1, 2, 3 hours) Awarding more items per task (10 or 15 per task rather than 1 or 2) Only having one "currency" item ... the glass, plastic and metal items always costs garbage, unlike SH where you need to have a stock of lattes, yoga mats and furniture available to craft any of the others.
Takes too long to build up a meaningful stock for SH. Hence I have been stuck on $200m on SH for months without ever feeling the need to move on with it, whereas I am quite happy to craft away for my 5 donuts from the railyard every week.
I hope they do change it, but I'm not holding my breath.
They are making it easier to get items.
1. The Googlplex you can get an easy 5 pills, awards, or ads for every 3 hours (best value)
2. The Chili game - easy to get 5-10 pills every 8 hours, just needs Homer to trigger before sending him to do anything.
3. The Sci-Fi game - now easy to get free devices.
4. Number 1 still has that 1 hour task for 15 lattes.
They are making it easier and easier to get additional resources.
