LOL, I had a very similar experince!
When good ol' Gil arrived arround Xmas I decided to help him in his business with a Boatload purchase. With beeing rich donut-wise, I had a weak moment and went for some Buddhas... Some benches and fences here and there... I knew it was a bad deal... So I llimited myself to a total of 10 Homer Buddhas to purchase.
And guess what: with my 9th or 10th purchase I aquired Frink's Lab as well! 8)
Since Frink is worth 150 Donuts (and I would have purchased him later anyways) I went out of this 'experiment' cost neutral PLUS the stuff I got from the other Buddhas... :-)
I certainly cannot complain. BUT: I DO know that I went VERY lucky on this! So, it's nothing I would suggest to other tappers.
