Bonsai SPOILER ALERT: don't buy them!!!

I am at the task where Akira has to place three bonsai, and I can't get him to make them. He did it once earlier in the questline, I think. (I already have one.)

He has 2 tasks available, 1) Re-Pot Bonsai and 2) Prune Bonsai. He doesn't have anything about planting. If you do both of those it doesn't generate a new bonsai.

I see earlier in the thread someone has mentioned that Database has a part in this task. I looked in his available tasks, and he doesn't have anything bonsai-related, but maybe it only pops up when Akira has done something?

Can anyone help me? I don't want to spend donuts on items that don't have a multiplier, to finish a questline for a character I already spent donuts on in the first place.

Someone posted that they were able to fix the broken task by storing their bonsai tree, then placing it again.

I finished the questline a few days ago and haven't been able to make a second bonsai, so I think I'll try this, too.

I stored the bonsai, then had Akira place it, and it said I had placed 1 of 3. But it wouldn't let me do it again, and it didn't give me any new tasks for Akira. Weird.

Hipmama, I believe that producing the bonsai is three steps. Something like plant, prune, repot. Basically, do his twelve hour task three times and he should produce bonsai. (I'm not positive, I don't have him yet.)

I think you're right, I'm trying now to see if there is a combination of tasks between Akira and Database that might be the ticket?
